Being a father means great responsibilities not only for your wife but most specially for your children. Here in the Philippines a father is considered as the "haligi ng tahanan" or "pillar of the house" (haligi - pillar, tahanan - house). A pillar of the house must be strong, fruitful, responsible and most of all courageous and have fear and faith in God. Our pastor once said that a father without faith in God is not a good father after all. A father must always lead his children in a good admonition (Ephesians 6:4), do not just scold your kids when they have done wrong things but escort and advice them properly and with care in accordance with the word of God. It is also written in Ephesians 5:25 that "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it". The Bible is clearly telling us to do good things for our wife and children and also clearly promising each and every father all around the world that if you are a father with faith in our God, He will always be with you and your family no matter what.
